Merv proves less a character than a catalyst in a film that’s content to have its treat and eat it, too. Go to Full Review

As it is, Merv is slight and sweet and entirely to expectations. Making a movie about co-parenting a dog is not a bad idea -- though I wouldn’t say it’s a great one, either. Go to Full Review

The script is perfectly gentle but isn't funny. Worst of all, because Merv is sad, he does nothing but lie down and whine, which means even dog-lovers may be bored - and a little dispirited. Go to Full Review

This predictable holiday romance built around two still-in-love exes sharing custody of their dog is sweet but had potential to be more. Go to Full Review

L J @Cracky 1h Cute, but kind of boring. It drags along quite a bit. See more Eye C @ECinc 19h This one didn’t work for me. The Cox/Deschanel couple don’t have any chemistry. In one word this is an awkward movie. See more Diane D. @Diane19809 1d A movie about a dog where the dog barely has a cameo appearance! …and the bit about unable to have children does not belong in a family/kid movie, in my opinion. See more Ryan C. @djrmc24 1d Merv is a comedy around a dog and their two owners who have seperated. Think of the movie The Parent Trap but with a dog instead of daughters. The movie features some funny scenes but mostly is forgettable. This is a shame since the movie features a strong cast with Zooey Deschanel and Charlie Cox. The real star of the movie here is the dog but even they could not carry this film. Merv gets a low 2 stars out of 5 from me. See more Logan S @toxicschmidy 2d Only thing that would of made this movie any good is if there was a end credit scene to Charlie Cox role as DareDevil in the upcoming Doomsday movie... See more Cristian s 2d Predecible y llena de clichés pero me gusto, una típica película de navidad que se disfruta y al final te deja con buen gusto. See more Read all reviews
