Critics Consensus

Influencers is a sharper, darker, and gleefully vicious sequel that skewers hollow influencer culture with stylish carnage and delicious black humor.

A biting social commentary slasher franchise more perceptive in its critique of digital social media culture than anything else within the horror landscape right now Go to Full Review

Kurtis David Harder sharpens the cutlery for his attack on social influencer culture, all but garroting the obscenely rich, tin-souled click baiters out there. Go to Full Review

It is a more vicious, targeted film than the original, but it also has a stunning streak of truly dark humor that’s almost Coen-esque in its slapstick bloodshed. Go to Full Review

It’s the same principle that made the James Bond movies look so opulent: Yes, explosive action and special effects can show off a big budget, but just providing a travelogue of sorts for the audience also feels inherently cinematic. Go to Full Review

Influencers is bigger but not always better, as it lacks the realism present in the first film, choosing instead to increase the drama and forgo answering questions. Go to Full Review

Influencers is even more dark fun than Influencer, particularly because of how it portrays identity in an increasingly volatile and devious digital world. Go to Full Review

Aldis H 17h Convoluted, boring timeline, we're supposed to love a soulless serial killer, no story, utter implausibility at every turn, Cassandra Naud cannot act ... there's a lot more. The first movie was pretty good. This one is an absolute stinker. For the life of me I cannot understand the 95% on RT. Makes zero sense. I made it through just to see if it was as bad as I thought. It is. See more revolver.0 8 @Revolver08 1d same as first one, dull with zero charisma See more Craig W. @CJWolfe27 1d I really enjoy these movies, if you watch the first one before this I think you will enjoy this movie more. Great girl fight scene as well. See more Àvinash r 1d Did she actually murder Jacob ? Holy shit Step on me mommy The original Influencer was so good that I genuinely wondered what the plot for a second part or sequel could even be. But they handled it really well. Of course, there are some flaws, but as a fan of the first one, I really liked this too. The live video call reactions during the climax are so fun and add a lot to the experience, just like I mentioned at the beginning. See more Tim B. @SlimTim0707 2d Influencers ramps up the gore and sexuality, while dumbing down Cassandra into a more conventional villain role than its predecessor. However even as a simpler slasher film, it still retains most of its chique with a fight scene so stylish that you half expect them to truce and start dancing instead mid battle. See more Lee B 3d Man, what a letdown. I'm a huge fan of part 1. I was like. There is no way part two will suck. Well it did. Just watch the first and pretend this does not exist.
