(1) the primary sources are all totally unreliable witnesses interested in their own publicity / exoneration / self-aggrandizement or other massively questionable motivations (2) Lady Colin Campbell is offered up as an apparently credible, apparently aristocratic observer. One need only take 5 minutes to read her Wikipedia page, her rap sheet of appearances on E list celebrity reality TV, her bibliography of unsolicited and spurious Royal biographies and of herself and of her family, her TV defense of Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein (also unsolicited). And and etc etc (3) the Reddit page does a fairly strong job at calling out the remarkably tenuous storyline of this entire sordid affair. All participants are extremely questionable people in all respects. No. Is it tight and objective? Absolutely not. Is it fun to watch? Absolutely. I’ve never laughed during any documentary, but the editor did a good job of wringing out every last bit of the absurd it could and made it a story almost worthy of Knives Out-level entertainment. The story itself is very intriguing and I had never heard of it before. The problem is that the whole documentary is confusing. You're sitting there trying to understand what really happened and you never get an answer. Watching this documentary leaves you more confused than ever as to what really happened. I can't believe this was released by Netflix. It could have been so much better. This is the first time I write a review for a film/show/series and I couldn't help myself to do it because I'm so confused. This is half-assed work.
