Mandarin Tea Light
Mandarin tea light is an easy decoration which can be made in few minutes. It will look nice on a diner table or as a mood light when decorating party space.
Slice the peel horizontally at the widest part of the mandarin. Then gently separate two halves of skin and remove the fruit. While doing this, pay attentions to leave the center pith attached to one half of the mandarin as the pith will act as a wick.
On the top of one half cut a hole that will let the candle “breathe”. In the other half, with pith, pour some olive oil.
Now you can light your mandarin tea light. Cover the flame with the other half of the peel or just leave it as it is.
This decorative mandarin tea light can burn up to few hours, depending on the length of the wick.
Do not leave tea lights unattended while burning!
