When their plans for an exotic vacation fall apart, unmarried couple Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon) must spend Christmas Day trudging around to a quartet of family get-togethers. While Brad counts the hours till he can escape the onslaught of crazy relatives, Kate begins to wonder about her own choices and ponders whether her family members are so crazy after all.

This is marginally better than most, with a few offbeat comic ideas, a reliably droll performance from Vaughn, and, as the parents, four watchable old troupers in search of a fat paycheck.

This is my favorite Christmas movie, I literally watch it every year. I have no idea why the bad reviews, don’t listen to the haters, this movies great. Perfect holiday movie

I love this movie. It has several of my favorite actors. Robert Duvall. Jon Voight. Sissy Spacek. Vince Vaughn and Resse Witherspoon do a good job representing how children of divorce frequently feel. The writers did a good job of walking the line between an abusive childhood and just a quirky, humorous dysfunctional childhood. There’s a lot of crude potty humor. As someone who got married at 25, got his wife pregnant 3 weeks later, and has been knee deep in poop, pee and vomit for the next 44 years I laughed until I cried. I am still married to the 22 year old girl who took a leap of faith with me. My 3 kids and 6 grandchildren are my greatest joy. I think this movie has a good lesson for the current generation of cynics. If you think this movie is racist or homophobic you are looking to be offended. If anything, it makes fun of White Trash. Fortunately, White Trash have a sense of humor.

Something different but welcomed. Always on a quest for a new fun Christmas movie. Yeah it’s corny and predictable for the most part but you can say the same thing about most Christmas movies.

Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn star in this Christmas romcom. It’s pretty funny. I used to hate Vince movies but now I’m a convert 😹 They play a couple that have always avoided spending Christmas with their family until flights cancelled makes them go to 4. It had become one of my favorite Christmas movies now. Only bad ? Vince got the headliner but Reese definitely carries more of the movie then Vince 🍿🍿🍿🍿/5 on HBO
