Critics Consensus

The Family Man's earnest attempt to remind audiences that it's a wonderful life too often steers into schmaltz, although Nicolas Cage and Téa Leoni's romantic rapport adds a dash of sincere sweetness.

It's rare that an American movie lets slip such a snobbish distaste for the humdrum lives of its blue-collar audience base, but of course it doesn't last. Go to Full Review

A holiday film Joe Lieberman could love, unembarrassed by its wholesome, sugary pro-family message. Go to Full Review

It's a film that's trying to get you to think about what brings value to your life. [...] I also like that it's about second chances - you can walk away from certain things but there's also a chance to get back to them. Go to Full Review

Eddie Nov 15 Favorite movie of all time. Watch it! See more Kim M @Callmehoneybee 2d Just watch it. Its a horror movie. I kept watching this movie from the womens prospective. The way he would speak to her. How he loathed her, I just cant comprehend why she just kept shrugging it off. Then I remembered it was written for that time period where women just sat by while allowing men to have mid life crisis ala "click" and the like. I just kept thinking he doesn't like her he despises her. See more Brian M @BrianMcn43 3d Just talking about favorite movies over the holiday and my stepson mentioned he just watched it.
