While I found some enjoyment in the good parts, the bad ones were truly awful. The film employed the trope of making the worst mistakes nobody would truly make. However, it takes a surprising turn in the final 10-15 minutes with a mind-bending twist that you wouldn’t expect. It’s an enjoyable watch, but it does have its slow and drawn-out moments. Echo Valley is not my first, actually Dicaprio Basketball Diary was the most mature n depressing, but will give credit cause of the cast that make it work. Julianne Moore is always stunning in every role she is in, n well here nail, like her motherly role that she will do anything to keep her druggy daughter out harm way. Even hiding a body, but the twist shock me, term of betrayal is something didn’t expect, n how she handle it. Bro this is surprise I didn’t expect it? Sydney Sweeney is up coming star that really her portrayal as the druggy daughter was trope seen before, the desperation, fooling ye parents, of course my fav asking for cash to pay her dealer. Talking of him Domhnall Gleeson really menacing as the dealer, taking more advantage of the mother than the daughter. Seriously taking scam route, to ve the money, n how Julianne pull it off was pretty genius, n sacrificial. So conclude it felt more Hallmark movie of the week, with Hitchcock tone, the cast fall short, but the twist at the end make justice. Mom asked very important questions, so she was smart. Why not ask how it ended up in the car from the woods, AND wrapped? And why inject mom at all? He pulled it out while she was still sitting and talking. Then he let her roam free after?? Why would he stay outside the house and not where he could watch her?
