The concept was interesting, and they did do a lot with it. I think it could have gone farther with the set up and delay the twist a little longer. Another gripe was that the villain was way too broad a lot of the time.

One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my life. The acting is hella cringe and so damn bad. I’m not gonna lie it’s a little funny in some parts but most of it is so cringe it’s so hard to keep watching. Update:Cringy, uncomfortable, and awful ending.

Better Watch Out tries to put a spin on the typical Holiday heist film but pretty much falls flat. The first half of the film is pretty decent but it’s in the last half where things fall apart completely. The premise is: Ashley travels to the suburban home of the Lerners to babysit their 12-year-old son Luke during the holidays. She must soon defend herself and the young boy when unwelcome intruders announce their arrival. The viewer will be able to tell that there are inspirations taken from the Home Alone movie series but not up to that level entirely. I would reccomend skipping this one and selecting another Holiday movie to watch. Better Watch Out gets a low 1 1/2 stars out of 5.
