"A Merry Little Ex-Mas" may or may not count as a comeback for Silverstone, but it's a reminder of her particular talents, and she makes "Ex-Mas" a tiny little holiday treat. Go to Full Review

Predictably, specificity subsides and broader, physical humour takes over, all of it unfunny not only for its lack of originality but for how it forces a mostly adequate cast into outsized cartoon acting that they can’t convincingly pull off. Go to Full Review

Some movies are movies. Other movies are cocoa. 'A Merry Little Ex-Mas' is the latter. Go to Full Review

Alicia Silverstone and Oliver Hudson lead a charming Christmas family romantic comedy that is sweet enough to enjoy, and possibly add to your Christmas rotation. Go to Full Review

It’s meant to make us laugh, cry, and feel warm inside. A Merry Little Ex-Mas does all of that. It’s a film that feels like fuzzy slippers and a mug of hot cocoa and that’s not a bad thing at all. Go to Full Review

Despite its highly effective premise, A Merry Little Ex-Mas is a functional and rather forgettable romantic comedy. That said, it undeniably achieves its goal: sparking a smile during this season of family get-togethers...[Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

lily t @lilyt 3h This film was so bad I signed up to a rotten tomatoes account just to communicate how it bad it was. What a waste of my evening. See more Nim N @Nimnom 1d I’m currently on my fourth Christmas movie of the season and this rates around the middle. Not one of the super low budget totally cringeworthy ‘actually can I be bothered to finish this?’ movies. But good acting, quality sets, good direction, cute storyline. Of course a bit cheesy because it is Christmas movie, but Alicia Silverstone is great it and as cute as ever. Oliver Hudson as the leading man is very relatable and handsome, and the whole thing is just quite delightful really. See more Ivan C. @ivanchow1 1d Silverstone is great in the movie! She’s still gorgeous and her smiles just lit up the movie. Yes, the story is predictable. It’s great cozy movie to watch in Christmas time! See more Fargo T. @FargoTheGreat 1d I’m actually amazed people have given this more then 1 star this is by far the worst Christmas movie I have ever seen See more Martin B 2d When the critics give it a splat and the audience score comes in way under that you know it's going to be a clinker. I got nothing. I wanted Silverstone to be good but every character was some form of Christmas cliche that had to work too hard to make a sketchy script look like there was a point to it. See more @Sanjulina 2d I’m giving this a 3⭐️ solely because of Alicia. The excessive overacting, painfully silly jokes, and yet another wasted budget on a predictable, cliché storyline make it hard to sit through. I genuinely love Christmas movies and don’t mind cheesy acting—as long as there’s snow, festive decorations, and a happy ending. Even though this movie technically has all of that, it’s still barely watchable. See more Read all reviews
